That seems pointless.

Gen is over and they need benefits to upgrading to neXtBox.

neXtBox will have Win8 base like all their future products and surely have a great experience with online and apps and such. So, if I'd just leave it as is for now.

Not sure on that. From what I've read of beta impressions, they're not that positive. They're pretty much of the opinion that one size fits all result in some formats suffering. Haven't tried it myself but I'm holding out judgement.

What neXtBox/720 betas have your read about? source?

Lol, no. Should have been clearer, sorry; Win8!

This is what microsofts e3 will be all about. They are six years late to the party. The wii has a fantastic opera browser

Not sure how I feel about this. I'll let you guys know if it passes the porn test (The PS3 definitely did!) when it launches. Not really a big deal to my these days since I have a laptop connected to my TV, now. If they use Kinect in some really creative way, it could be interesting. Right now, I'm kinda "meh" on the whole console/browser thing.

If I can use a wireless mouse and keyboard, that would be great. Will it support flash?

I thought everyone in the world already owned a smart web browsing TV.

Seriously I see no problem with it. If you don't need it don't use it. Better to at least have the option.

not interested... browsing is crap on the PS3 and will now be crap on the 360.

Browsers on consoles is clunky and next to useless. We all have phones, tablets etc that are constantly on and internet ready.

a friend of mine has none of this because he is very poor and he will be extremely happy.

The IE 9 ad just launched in the UK, and it is everywhere and it is awesome! Check it on youtube

The reason they are doing is is because they are losing alot of ground to google chrome and doing this is a perfect way to get back into the market and un-alienate people to the disasters of previous IE's

This post pribably didnt make sense because i was typing very quick.

Really? I'll check it out. I don't know how they're gonna win people back, it would be a stuggle even if it's better. It's just viewed as being a shitty default that nobody uses for whatever reasons.

What do you think? The awesome music plays a big part.

meh not needed IMO

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

That advert was good in that it looked pretty and the song was great, but it didn't really sell me on it. I'm skeptical as to whether it'll "change the web forever", I didn't really see anything in that ad that shows any drastic differences and obvious improvements to other browsers, specifically the one I use (chrome). I will try it out though since it's free.

I personally think this is just another way for microsoft to be able to boost the flagging IE figures and say look the figures have gone up by 20% when in fact its just through an upgrade that you will be forced to do

"...the best way to prepare [to be a programmer] is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and fished out listings of their operating system." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.
