aw, it's so cute how people love to demonize porn so much. Porn can be great, as can sex toys and experimentation, as long as you're responsible with it. ugh, I don't even much care for discussing this nonsense, but still.

That was a very moving poem, and in a general sense I do think there is something to her sentiments. There is a truth that pornography does objectify people. Perhaps more for some then others. That can hinder intimacy, and even in some cases harden people. That said it is also true that the opposite can be true. Being ashamed of ones body can just as well damage intimacy. For how can you be truly comfortable with another if your not comfortable with yourself.

I feel for the author, but love is a two way street. To assume that the partner is entirely at fault is ignoring where the author who ever they may be is also at fault. A persons imperfections are what makes them beautiful, and if perfection is what you are looking for then are you any less perverse then the person that is using pornography. The answer is that both the author and their spouse are being transfixed by unrealistic expectations.

This was a failed relationship between two people who had very different morals, sexual needs, and love life. That is all. She was an idiot for staying in a relationship that didn't fit her life.
