Not really unnecessary as it's neccessary to get the trophy - but it felt like a pointless inclusion and bored me half to tears.

Exactly. I really don't understand this obsession people have with trophies and achievements. They're pointless to me.

They're evidence. When I was younger, I'd brag to my "friends" about how I beat Super Metroid with a really low time or how I beat Street Fighter II on the hardest level without continuing. With Achievements, you have proof.

--also, these friends wouldn't have anything to do with me when somebody cooler or a girl came around. I was such a geek. :(

High five for the guys who actually haven't got any game platinum'd cause our women don't let us.. but at least we have women now!
