Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft set to launch $99 4GB 360 + Kinect bundle next week in the US.

i don't understand people claiming "but...but...but you can get xbox live for 40 dollars on retail and not for the official 60 bucks and you can get the 360 with kinect for 299 instead of 350" or whatever

yes sure but that doesn't mean that microsoft has to sell his products under its own rrp to be "fair". the retailers sell products under the rrp because they "fight" against each other and do it to sell more products to increase the overall profit for xbox consoles.

i can buy the 360 on amazon for 10% less than i would have to pay in my local game shop. i get mcrosoft points and xbox-lve for much less on ebay as in my local game shop. is my local game shop now a criminal? no he isn't, he just doesn't sell it under rrp and it's my fault if i still buy it there.

and if mirosoft will sell the bundle for the price you would have to pay as well if you would buy everything for rrp. so, xbox+kinect+xbox-live+netflix+extra warranty or whatever for two years, they just sell it not for less than rrp. and people who don't resign a contract even if they don't want netflix anymore, it's their own fault.

if i would get only a netflix subscription and wouldn't resign the contract not using it anymore it would be my fault, not a netflix scam.

and if you sign a mobile phone contract and you need the contract only 2 years, switch the provider after the time and don't resign from it and pay for it 10 years, it's your problem.

Also to those complaining about the $15 fee need to GTFO America and live in UK for few months, my phone contract in itself is 21 pounds or around $35 and i barely get anything with it, bottom line is, 15 a month is not THAT much at all, calling it a scam is blowing it out of proportion, by a good amount, as around $5 alone of that would probably account for gold membership.

Don't even get me started on the constant bitching about "gas" prices.

Yeah, I do want to live in the UK for a few months. For (2) phones I pay $150/month.

I would love to pay $70 instead.

Cell Phone contract prices aren't much better in the US. I have the cheapest cell phone provider and I still pay $68 a month and that's with the absolute tiniest dataplan available (200 megs which isn't enough to do much of anything). Back when I had the 5GB dataplan and insurance on my phone I was paying close to $100 a month....I wish I was on someone else's plan, that would be so much cheaper.

That's the thing, I was telling him that it sucks for us too.

would be a 2 year contract for 19.95€ monthly with 250mb, 100 minutes and 3000 sms + motorola razr cheap? or the same + single payment of 119€ to get the razr maxx instead of the razr?

An unusual amount of hate in this thread. It's not like the regular deal is going away! It's just another option. Options are good, right? If the PS3 cost $600 at retail but you could get it for $200 as long as you subscribed to PSN plus or Netflix, you guys would have thought it was the best deal ever, right? The deal isn't as sweet but that's what the basic idea is.

Anybody that doesn't like the idea of "get it now/pay a little now/pay more later" should never use a credit card again.

Best comment in this thread so far.

Overall really bad deal, however, ignorant people will buy this since its a lower up-front cost. ugh....

Well, so is buying anything on a credit card if you can't immediately pay it off. It's more of an option for people who want an Xbox but can't spend $300 to jump in.

Interesting, will this bundle allow or ban used games?
