If it turns out that it lives up to the hype you will not see me downplaying its success. Gloat away. I will probably only post in a thread about the game again if someone wanted me to openly admit I was wrong, but I don't see that happening. Until then, though, the sony fans are trumpeting an unproven IP once again. That has not had the best track record this gen.

 Not exactly what I am saying. What I am saying is you shouldn't go out everywhere and yell that a game you know you will like, but comes from a studio with a history of not so good games is going to be the greatest game ever! If people were just claiming it would be a pretty good game I wouldn't bother saying anything. The problem is people are saying it will be better than GT5 which is a guaranteed system seller and easily a contestant for GoTY if the developers just maintain their previous quality of work. Most games just never reach that level of excellence and it bothers me sometimes to see it diminished when people lump a possible "good" game with the games that will define the console.

How can somebody be not excited about THIS?

The lighting in this game is so awesome. It is the key reason why it looks so good. It truly gives it a sense of realism, the way every detail is shown in relief in the lighting.

Just look at the way the light from his goggles reflects onto his arm, and then back onto the front of his helmet!

I obviously am just suggesting that you do it as you will set yourself up for disapointment and ridicule. The next Lair is right around the corner, and it could honestly be any title on any system that takes failure to a whole new level. Promoting parts you know are solid and downplaying the weakness is what seems best imo. You have your way, and I have mine. To each their own I say.

As for your video, well Iit looks very pretty I guess. I don't have a distinguishing eye for graphical detail so that appeal of games is always lost on me. Truth be told I have never seen a difference between 480i and 1080p. I also think a VHS tape looks and sounds just as good as a blu-ray disc. Before you ask, yes I have seen them set-up properly and experienced the whole 9 yards.

Also i can usually tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps game.
