Word. When I think of RPGs in modern settings, I think of Persona 4, Shenmue and the Yakuza series, i.e. all amazing games. We've had a million medieval RPGs this gen, I wish devs would take more risks.

Yeah! that's why I love the persona series. It's awesome! I love Modern settings. That's why I am hyped for Versus (but not so much anymore right now. The more I wait the more I lost interest).

I am also hype for the new NiS RPG. It looks like it will be on a modern setting looking at the clothes of the Main characters. :)

OT:

I would appreciate if it is a TPS. I don't want a FPS. A survival Horror is very very welcome.

We have enough of them. We don't need you of all people to start making them. If you want to try another genre, go ahead. Make an RPG, an adventure game, a platformer, hell, even a racing game. There are plenty of brilliant shooters on the market and the likelihood that yours will be noticeably better than them is low, because you've never even made a shooter before.

Shooter genre is the biggest right now. Sony would be stupid to not try and cash in on that.
Killzone is alright but it's no match for Halo.

This. Nothing wrong with shooters if done right. Also shooters are very varied these days and have a lot of overlapping genres.
