Try Wind Waker, it's a gamecube game but it's a true Gem. I also support the MP Trilogy bandwagon. Pikmin for GC are also gems try to pick them up in whatever form (new play controls, good ol' cube).

Give sunshine a try someday if you're really bored. The water dynamics are lots of fun.

And if you've never played Melee, pop in a gamecube disk into that Wii and you'll be glad you did.

Also, try OgreBattle 64 on the virtual console. I am not a fan of grid-based RPGs, but this one is a beauty.

I have played every Zelda game since "Ocarina of Time" but Wind Waker dissapointed me because of the Triforce fragment search and the co-op dungeons. I didnt know that I can play Gamecube games on the Wii.

wow, just wrote this lengthy post and an error destroyed it. that's annoying. short version.

skyward sword (push through)

madworld, no more heroes 1 & 2. these games are pretty violent, so if you don't like violent games, pass.

silent hill shattered memmories. No other game like it. Be warned, if you don't make the gestures like you really mean them, they won't work.

NBA JAM: this one surprised me. addicting campain, really fun local multiplayer. almost didn't get it and it ended up being one of my most played games.

metroid other m. i'm a big prime fan and i liked this more. i like how samus' character was fleshed out instead of being a player avatar like link. That's just me though. Alot of other people obviously disagree. Controls are very different than most games out there and that turns alot of people off. Samus didn't end up being what alot of people thought she should be. But like i said, i loved it.

conduit 2 is a fairly mediocre shooter, but has awesome weapons. pretty cheap by now.

new super mario bros wii. It's a 2d mario platformer, but it's alot of fun with friends. me and my wife both enjoyed this game.

smash bros brawl for some more multiplayer mayhem. it's deeper than it seems. if your a smash bros fan than get it now!

resident evil 4 is pretty great. Can't go back to the old resident evil formula. 3rd person motion controls are the only way i can' play a R.E. game now.

good to hear xenoblade is good. have it, but haven't got to play it yet. can't wait for "the last story"

You may want to consider getting Symphonia 2, especially if you like Tales games. It's not one of the better Tales games, but it's still a fun JRPG, and it should be pretty cheap right about now.

Yep, I think pretty much all GC games work on the Wii (there may be the odd exception for some games with fancy peripherals) you do need a GC controller and memory card though.

Couple Wii games I liked that aren't your typical JRPGs but appeal to me as a JRPG fan would be Little King's Story, Rune Factory Frontier (not tides of destiny), and My Life as a King on Wiiware (first one was better than the second).

Does it has to be a Gamecube controller or does it work with the Wii gamepad

Hey guys I have a Wii at home but I have just a few games for it, but I´am sure there are some great games worth playing that I don´t know of. Maybe you could suggest some.

Favored Genres

Action

Adventure

(J)RPG

but I´am flexible about that if a game is good it´s good nevermind what genre it is.

So guys you have any suggestions?

Ok, based on the information you provided and taking into account that you will find these games very cheap...

Muramasa: The demon blade, great mix of action and RPG with nice 2D graphics.

Silent Hill: Shattered Dreams, a short adventure with great replayability, good graphics, nice sound

No More Heroes 1 and 2, a lot of action with a very strange plot and out of the box boss battles

Little's King Story, A mix of strategy with a little action and rol, very entertaining with great classical music

Arc Rise Fantasia, a good JRPG with great mechanics, above average plot, below average grphics  and very, very bad voice acting

Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, great strategy-rpg game

Red Steel 2, short action-FPS game with great control, nice visuals and decent everything else

Punch Out!!, an update on the formula that can be played with motion or in a classic style

Resident Evil: Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles, two onrails shooters with a great coop modes and very long for the genre

Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon, Very japanese mix of rol and adventure, great story very moving, not so good gameplay mechanics

All great options, all very cheap so you can try them

Get OKAMI, for the love of god.

Then, Mushroom Men.

So out of all the games that we told you about you picked up MPT? Was it new or used? Even used I could only find it for 69 dollars at Gamestop.

I found it on Amazon.de for 57.94€ new and thought that it´s a good deal for 3 games. And I purchased Pikmin as well dor 9.99€ and I´am definetly going to give Little Kings Story a try. I din´t know about it but after so many people recommended I will definetly give it a try.
