I contacted Nintendo for confirmation of Miyamoto's interview statements, and received the following response: "In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Pikmin game will be shown at the E3 Expo in June. He believes that anyone who has played Pikmin games in the past will enjoy playing."

Well considering the fact that it's been rumored to be in development since the beginning of this generation, this comes as no surprise to anyone. Could be one of the Wii's killer launch apps if done right... amazing visuals, a much larger world to explore and the touch screen controls for commanding your army of Pikmin much more fluidly and intuitively would make this a must have game.

I've never played pikmin, since im planing to get the Wii U i think i'll give it a chance, it sure will be at E3 it's almost sure it will be part of the launch window for the U.

If they put Pikmin 1 and 2 on the vc for the wiiu, I might pick it up.

If it's not at E3, should we officially dub this game the next Gran Turismo 5, Duke Nukem Forever, or even The Last Guardian?

Pikmin 3 really does sound like it would work perfectly on the Wii U controller...

Indeed. Although unlike any of those games, we have not had one iota of official Pikmin 3 content from Nintendo.

I`m expecting a lot from Pikmin 3. I only played the first the one and i really liked it. Everything was great about it!
