I grew up with the NES and the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. That's all you need to know.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I Grew up playing Nintendo, they showed me how fun sitting around could be and was my get away from shit/boring life, And they still make some of the best games on the planet.

Zelda OoT
Zelda MM
Mario 64
Mario bros 3
Mario world
Pokemon Gold

So good.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Believe it or not,it was the gamecube that got me into Nintendo. I was a massive sega fanboy untill they were forced out of the console business, and id never owned any nintendo console prior. After the demise of the dreamcast it was time for me to choose another platform, and since i thought sony were evil i opted for Nintendo. Only thing i can say is that i was a complete prick for ignoring Nintendo all those years ago. Games like wave race blue storm, mario galaxy, wind waker ,eternal darkness blew me away, and ive been hooked ever since. I love my Wii,and the 3DS is rapidly becoming one of my all time favourite gaming systems. Lesson to all fanboys out there, dont get too blinded by loyalty as you will miss out.

I love Nintendo for keeping gaming innocent and simple. The Wii isn't my favourite console of the generation, but I am getting tired of realistic, violent and tense games, sometimes I just want to sit down and play a simple platformer or party game, no online passes, no DLC, no guns, just the type of games that I enjoyed a few years ago.

When it comes to particular games, I love the Pokemon series and I have recently put many hours into Pokemon Heart Gold (not as many as when I was a kid though) and I'm looking forward to playing all generations. For the Wii, I love Super Mario Galaxy, the game has a great concept and is just so much fun.

You're seeing the light. Good... goooood.

Because they have the best music composers, no question.

I've spent more time listening to game music than playing games.

I will have a Wii by the end of the year too, you've converted me.

They craft games that put gameplay first and are almost always incredibly polished and entertaining.

They've given us some legendary franchises over the years, particularly the Zelda and Mario series, and they're also pioneers for home gaming consoles in so many ways: Single handedly revitalized home gaming after the huge crash of the '80s, D-pad control, analogue control, rumble feedback, motion/pointer controls, touch screen controls, first handheld to accommodate multiple games (GB), first highly polished 2D platformer with secrets (SMB), first highly polished open-end game with multiple items (The Legend of Zelda), first mascot racing game (SMK), etc.

Many companies have made an impression in home gaming, but none like Nintendo have, IMHO.

I like them, because they have done their own thing for the most part, but ironically that is also the thing I dont like about them
