I've seen it twice. It snowed here in New Orleans two years ago on Christmas Day. It was the first time it snowed here in over a decade.

I'm sure you'll find some way to discount it, but here's your answer: http://illconsidered.blogspot.com/2006/01/one-hundred-years-is-not-enough.html

More theories, no facts. No need to discount it for there is nothing to discount as there are no facts for any arguments in that blog. Once again it is all speculation. Question, how come 2005 was the hottest year, not 2006 nor 2007? What happened, I thought that it should just keep getting hotter since we are pumping CO2 in the air. Guess there is no answer for that either.

I find it amusing that you claim that there are no facts in this article, then go on to dispute one of its many facts.
Perhaps this link would serve you better:

Scientists can't even predict if it's going to rain on me in the morning as I ride my pushbike to work . Who are they to tell me what's going to happen over the next 100 or 1000 years and what i have to do to avoid it?
watch out for "independent" research done by scientists. Look who funds these papers and articles.
anything funded by the National Geographic society holds about as much weight as an upright cheesegrater in my opinion. Those kooks just want us to think we're the devil incarnate. I canceled my subscription to their magazine after i realized that, despite the fact that the world is apparently $#!%house, they never run out of goregeous scenery to photograph to sell their bleeding magazine.
any research backed by any center for climate change should also be looked at with a grain of salt. These people lose their grants if it's proven that there isn't really a problem.
finally, and seriously, folks, using WIKIPEDIA as a source link is useless. Wikipedia doesn't exactly have any kind of reputation for credible information.
I use it all the time to look up comic book information and know what? some of it ( gasp ) is not true. Companies ( inlcuding the CCC ) plant information there routinely to spread their ignorance on the world.
If you can't verify it with your own eyes, it is probably not true.
I am despondent over the lack of informed opinion present in this thread. Technically it can snow at any time at any location on earth given the right current atmospheric phenomena are at play. Further more it has been documented during the eighteen hundreds it actually snowed in July in New York City a veritable heat island near a large body of water. The accepted reason for it was an increase in sulfur within the atmosphere brought about by the virtual detonation of Krakatoa a volcano in Indonesia.

Honestly atmospheric studies are still in their infancy. Further more we suffer from a severe drought in the form of hard data. We have done only the most cursory evaluation of our current environment, and our historical records are not very comprehensive dependent on how competent the measurer was at the time. We lack atmospheric data for large stretches over massive portions of the globe basically.
Global warming has not been proven in the least in fact the data is often contradictory. Do I agree with the pumping of pollutants into the atmosphere absolutely not. However that said we have no clue what impact they are having if any, nor do we have a clue as to what the normal environmental state should be. Our current climate theoretically is a byproduct of a geographical impact of the formation of the isthmus of Panama altering global ocean currents. Prior to this event for the last fifty million years we have had repeated ice ages separated by warm periods.
Basically do not just take some scientists word for it, or the fear mongering you get a healthy dose of daily from the media as gospel. Form an informed opinion on the matter take the time to do some cursory research, and yes not all scientists concur with the theory of global warming. There are compelling counter arguments. What you need to do is keep an open mind, and if your genuinely concerned with human environmental impact there are many scientific endeavors dedicated to generating more hard data which is what we most desperately need that you might donate money to.
I highly recommend that my fellow posters take the time to read a novel titled State of Fear. Which most definitely sheds the entire debate in an entirely different light. You would do yourselves a service by seeing the discussion from the opposite point of view, and its a damn fine read.
