It seems quite puzzling after seeing the cell not translate into much of a competitive gain. I would have thought that putting the bulk of the costs on the GPU and ram would provide a more obvious (consumer can see it) difference.

I'd like to think they know what they're doing and this is to utilise some DX12 feature we don't know about yet ;S

Haha, not much, basically my AV/firewall program, Firefox, iTunes, uTorrent and other small stuff.

uTorrent can be a hog when you have big torrents open. I'm currently getting an almost 39GB torrent as well as "checking" another 24GB torrent, as I didn't shutdown properly last time. Not too bad though as yesterday I had an almost 57GB torrent going!
