I was actaully playing with the last two days I mean not as her, because I don´t play female characters if I don´t really have to. I was trying to gain affinity(on german it´s harmony). I had her and Sharla in my team and I was playing as "Dundun" I was on my way to Sword Valley on the Valkan Mountain I guess you know where that is the snow covered mountain, and we were doing some Nopon Sidequests to gain a least one lvl. And it went all fine with weaker enemies but then I thouht against this giant spider and her two kids(you know what I´am talking about right?). And then I had real problems every time I wanted fill the chain attack gauge she died and after you revive her the gauge gets depleted. And this fight took me more then ten minutes and I failed, the second it was as long but I succeded, and I sticked to that team. But after we arrived at sword valley I had swap her for shulk, I died against thos tentacle mechon against three of those bigger mechon lvl. 49. But after I gave shulk the lead put rikki on the second spot and sharla on the 3rd I handled them pretty good. And against Mumkar I fought with sharla Shulk and Dunban went down in less then 10 minutes 

Maybe I really don´t know how to use her.

That's your problem. I don't know if it's a matter of principal or what, but you CAN NOT really use Melia as a support character. You really need to play as her to utilise her unique playstyle. Try that.

Also, I wouldn't worry about not playing as the female characters. Sharla is not worth it, but Melia definitely. The other character (who you should know by now), you can either play as her or not. Up to you. The CPU does a great job with her, actually.

Your story is interesting, and it's good you stuck with her! Shulk and MElia are the best two chacters in the nex areas, Shulk because of the Monado and Melia because of the Ether. She takes a while to get used to, but when it clicks, she is AWESOME!

IF you don't 'get' it, then ditch her. Youll find it more difficult in the long-run, but it's up to you. Makes you enjoy it

it´s not a principal, I guess I´am just an asshole or sexist. Or maybe both  (that would be horrible)

so far I had no problems and I´am enjoying it very much. The only problem I had was that huge mechon.

btw. has anybody played pandoras tower yet an ex-girlfriend of mine is working at gamestop and can get it for less then 20€ so I would like to know if it´s worth it. I kno i could watch the reviews but they have allways too many spoilers in there.

I find that hard to believe And yeah, most of where you're up to is easy, but later on it's more difficult. MUCH more difficult. I was overlevelled up to Prison Island by 5-6 levels really, but quickly the game caught up to me after that, to where I was only a couple levels up to where you are now, and then ended slipping under and having difficulty. 

I've played Pandora's Tower, and it's good! Not as good as Xenoblade, but still well worth that price IMO. Rol would agree, and he tends to be overly-cynical

Yes and No. i intend to play this game a second time,somewhere in the future, and since FFVII, i did it this way: 1st Playthrough - Story, a little bit of Sidestuff / 2nd Playthrough - making a GODLY savefile

So i dont know yet if i am to farm materials for C6, but what i did now is my party reaching Level 81, and i forged Copy-3. (also, half the gems i am using a L6 Gems.)

the only thing i want to do now is getting the skillbooks for the majority of skills, but i am totally lost with this.. i've got like 1/3 of them, but mostly of the skills i dont f*ckn use.

HOW do you use her, Cone? i did it this way (most of the battles): Thunder/Fire/Ice, then using all 3 (Thunder as the last spell, since i guess it improves the other 2?.. also, the Rage that is made with a Single Thunderspell would make the Enemy's attack her, since Thunderdamage+100% is insanely helpful).. afterwards, i take 1 (sometimes 2) spells, that i keep on her, (depending) to get the Buffs, while dealing damage with Thunder. and also, i try to keep the DoT's (Fire/Ice/Earth) up, if it does not mean sacrificing a Buff i need from them at the beginning of battle. (since we all know they replenish. :P but well.. yeah, pretty much everything with her is depending on the situation lawl)

edit: Questions for a Xenoblade FAQ? i just feel in the need to ask them myself, even though i know the answer's :

- How long does it take to beat this game?

- Which games are similar to Xenoblade (to give me an idea of what kind of game this is)?

- How does this game perform on the Wii, are there obvious Hardware Limitations?

- Is everything predestined, or do my choices have an Impact?

- Do i have an influence on how my Characters develop? Is there any room for me customizing them?

It's up to you I suppose, it's up to you whether or not you wish to go all the way back to the bottom and claw your way back through the game to do the sidequests, but I can see the merits to it! Also, the answers to your questions, and others I've been sent, will be added to the OP, but I'll put it up anyway!

How long- 50 hours for a speedrun, 80 hours for an average run, 150 hours if you do most sidequests, 250 hours for everything really.

Which games are similar- The Last Story, Arc Rise Fantasia, Final Fantasy etc. 

How does the game perform- Surprisingly well! The Wii handles it with no screen-tearing and next-to-no slowdown, and the draw rate is incredibly impressive. The only issues are the close-up textures, but that's not so bad as the rest of the game is supreme.

Is everything pre-destined- Yes, it is, but since the side-quests detract from the story so regularly and you have such freedpn to move around the areas, you wouldn't realise.

Do you have an influence- Yes, greatly, but I'll go into more detail later.

Took a five-day break from Xenoblade to blast through Kid Icarus, so I've just got to Eryth Sea. I'll probably do a few more quests in Frontier Village before getting much further (must... rebuild... bridge). At my current pace, I'll probably beat the game around the 110 hour mark.

Don't forget to equip her with Arts Stealth gems. It tops out at 75%, at which point you can go rapid-fire with her for nearly a minute before getting anyone's attention, and you only have to hold off on attacking for a few seconds before someone else draws the enemy off. Other than that, you seem to be using her fairly well. I'd hold onto that Thunder throughout, though, and open your attacks with Earth (I believe Earth has the highest DPS). Also, don't overlook the value of Summon Copy!

it sold more 22k copies in NA this week, and that´s pretty decent imo.
I haeven´t finished it yet, so I don´t how it ends. But if this game manages to sell let´s say 750k copies which I think is possible if we are ver very lucky it could even sell 1 million, and if it does we´ll maybe get a sequel, perhaps for the Wii U that would be even a reason for me to buy that damn thing.


Btw. has this game anything to do with Xenosaga?
