Forums - PC - Has this last Console Cycle seen anyone else become more of a PC gamer?

Never played it, I probably can't even run it though. I can hardly run Civ V, it crashes after an hour due to heat.

Well Dota 2 runs on the Source engine so it's not very demanding. Could try signing up for the beta, it's a great game.

Cool, I should be able to run it easily then. I've heard plenty about it, just not my kind of game. There's no harm in signing up though, maybe I'll like it, I'll sign when I get back to England.

I must get me a 360 controller for my PC.

Yeah, having a 360 controller for PC is legit.  I highly recommend it.  But there are still a decent number of exclusives for the various platforms that make it so one can never go exclusively PC, at least not for the foreseeable future.  Without a 360 I never would have been able to play Lost Odyssey, FF, Halo, etc.  Same goes for Nintendo and Sony.

I went from PC to console; back to PC. The reason for me is.... modern TV's. Pretty much every high end TV is 1080p and most console games are only 720 so they have to try and upscale. After seeing Mass Effect 3 in native 1080p its hard to justify playing any multiport on a console for me =/

Edit: Same with framerate; can't go back to 24-30 after getting used to 60.

Well the first game I bought was Fallout: New Vegas. Then I got F.E.A.R. 3, Tomb Raider: Legend, LIMBO, and Skyrim.

I've been playing New Vegas non-stop though so I haven't really played the other games that much 0_0

Haha I'd advise you to go for Skyrim last then because otherwise you'll never be able to play the other games

I just might have to do that. I've seen other people play it on Youtube and I can tell that I'm going to enjoy it once I really get into it.

Just be careful, most of the players are very good at the game and some shit-talk a lot if you're a noob. Thankfully Valve implemented an easy report system for that though.

played only console for 10 years or so and then i restarted since i can play pc games with controller on my tv and since i realized that sometimes it can be better to have some mods
