$40 for MGS3D

OR

$40 for MGS 2, MGS3, and MGS Peace Walker

Its not even a contest, Vita version is just clearly better, Kojima is just trying to save face because he knows he ripped off the 3DS audience.

No Peace Walker, dood.

WHAT!!! That son of a- Does it at least come with MGS 1....

Wow this actually became an easy contest for me, since I dislike MGS2, I most likely will get MGS3D. Given my vita purchase is still a ways down the line.

3DS
Metal Gear Solid 3 - 3D, new exclusive features(crouching, gyroscope, custom paint via camera), Circle Pad Pro support(not required to play, enhances controls and ease of use)

Vita
Metal Gear Solid 3
Metal Gear Solid 2
Both have small new features like back touch killing, touch screen camera angle, and PS3 sharing(can't share anything for Peace Walker)

Not sure if CCP can be used as a Pro for the 3DS version against the Vita version since the (2) included Vita Metal Gears support dual analog standard.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

As far as we know, it's just the games port to the system and slightly upgraded. No special edition or anything.

Not having Peace Walker is such a shame, I thought it would be ok to just play the psp version on my Vita but it doesnt really play well with the analog sticks not just for aiming but sneaking around you have to be very gentle with it otherwise Snake will start to sprint.

But it doesn't include the fully controllable camera.

Yeah, camera is pretty hard to control with the normal controls on MGS 3D. I play the game with the Pro.

Doesn't MGS collection feature the original PS2 controls? I am pretty sure MGS3 had right analog camera controls.

MGS2 however only uses the right stick for the camera when up against walls.

Edit - Just checked and yes, Metal Gear Solid 3 HD does indeed feature fully controllable camera with the right analog stick.

His list should have "Trophies" under the Vita versions too.

I can really appreciate the improvements in MGS 3D. The crouch walk, touch screen item select/menus, sniper rifle slider, etc. were pretty sweet. In the end, it was still just MGS3, though. Vita players won't be missing much.

Ohh come on!
Not again a "remake" better hurry up MGS 5
