Soooo... PS4 and 720 to be as powerful, but not much more powerful, than PS360 confirmed then?

Because if these specs were announced for the Wii U, we'd have "anonymous" developers coming out of the woodwork saying just that lol.

Really hope these are no where near the actual specs. The only thing that could save them is if they went to a yearly model progression. So this thing hits this year with the 400 core APU, and the 500 Stream processor GPU with 1GB each. Then a 2014 model with 800 core apu, 1000 stream processor GPU and 2GB each. So on and so forth. What on earth do you base that bullshit on?

A field that looks to have much more of a drive to make the best product on the market, much higher accepted hardware prices, and a much larger push at advancing technology. The next Tegra chip is said to be a mini Kepler design which should destroy this tech. Then with the major advancments in CPU design set for the coming months, this should be a breeze to surpass. Granted it will only be in $800 models, but I spend the money were tech is being pushed, so it don't bother me.

The good thing is, with all the competition, and the massive spike in capable hardware, devs should be more able to make whatever they want without limits. Hopefully we are heading back to the time when having a $3000 computer actually affords you something special. These past couple years of higher res, high framerate console ports have taken the edge off PC gaming.

I already have a Valve console. It's called my fucking PC. Screw the Steambox. But at this rate, I will buy anything to play Half Life 3.

I'm in the same boat, Sony released one of the most powerful handhelds of all time, and they did it cost efficiently, I expect nothing less form the next PlayStation home console

I just bought an HD 6670 low profile card, and I'm not impressed by it at all. Cant even do 1080p with all effects without major slowdown. So someone with more knowledge about pc cards, feel free to correct me, but if these specs hold true, then Wii U won't be too far off and will infact be able to receive ports easily (if not the main console that does the porting, ala PS2).
