and things like:
“I suppose you don’t need sophisticated physics to make a Mario game.”

OFC BECAUSE NINTENDO DONT WANT THIRD PARTIES IN THE WIIU LIKE NINTENDO SAID SO MANY TIMES THIS AS A KEY POINT FOR THE WII U

SENSE = 0 what this "anonymous developers" are saying

first of all calm down.
Gearbox CEO also said that Wii U would be a "brigde to next-generation", so apparently even they don't see it as a big enough graphical leap over PS360 to consider it as "next gen".

1.  It is too early to say what exactly is in their kit, it wouldn't be much of a change since Wii essentially did this last gen, having a system comparible to last gen instead of next gen competitors.

2.  As retards to the tech demo stuff, I'm pretty sure that was all run on 360? and the bird demo was PS3. Not to say the Wii U can't do that, it was just too early to use the actual console hardware, it's common in the industry.

1.  Not exactly.  Saying WiiU is on par with the HD twins would be the same.  Saying WiiU is not as capable as the PS360 is like saying the Wii was less capable than the Gamecube.

2.  The third party games shown at last year's E3 Nintendo conference were 360 or PS3, but certainly not the tech demos.  Why on earth would the bird demo be running on PS3?  I could see you saying a PC, perhaps, but anyway as far as we know it was running on WiiU hardware.  And the Zelda HD demo definitely was, and in real time, too.

1. Yeah I guess...but its still a big tech upgrade. It seems Nintendo is taking the tech scale and slowing it down. The problem is the "less capable" part, since thsoe things are probably the largest critisisms of the PS3 and 360 right now, not neccesarily their graphics prowess. i.e. processing and RAM

2. Excuse me, I can't confirm the Bird Demo or Zelda demo. Not sure what hardware they were running those on. This extends from the rumors that exploded when Nintendo used 360 and PS3 footage to display third party games that will play on the Wii U in the future. Sorry.

3. Did anyone notice I said "retards" instead of "regards"?

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

But can it run Crysis :D

I wondered a out the bridge comment too.

Does that mean it is an intermediate step or does it mean it is the starting point?

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Tech demos are made to demonstrate technology.

That is ok, we can live with that, and I don't think anyone is expecting 8x better than a Xbox360, just 2x or maybe 3x. The problem would be if it is exactly the same or even worse graphic capabilities of a PS3/Xbox360.

Man, E3 cannot come any sooner. There have been too many of these so-called leak info, or rumors...

Let's recap:
"Anonymous developers/sources" claim it's worse than current gen HD consoles.
And then people with real names from real companies say that it's better.

Hmmm... tough decision on what to believe...

This is getting rather silly. We've seen the Zelda tech demo, and frankly it looks head and shoulders above anything on the PS3 and 360 as it should considering the better tech, granted it is a tech demo, but an interactive one nonetheless. It's starting to sound like people are just trying to get hits.

LMAO, not even fucking close

I agree that "head and shoulders" better is a bit of a stretch.  But one thing that people seem to overlook about the Zelda HD demo is just how smooth it ran graphically.

For example, God of War 3 has astounding visuals; easily comparable to Zelda HD and at times, particularly when the camera zooms in close on Kratos (such as when he squeezes through the rocks before Gaia's Heart or when he kills Helios), it is smooth beyond belief.  However for the majority of the game when the camera is zoomed out and the background, enemies and everything are being displayed all at once, you see a lot of shimmering and twinkling flaws in the graphics, simply because there is so much detail.  Case in point, games like GOW collection or MGS collection on PS3 run absolutely flawlessly smooth (with zero shimmering) due to less detail not taxing the machine.  There are other current-gen examples (such as Wipeout HD) that aren't overloaded with detail but more than make up for it with zero of said graphical annoyances.

While Zelda HD was just a brief example, the demo seemed to marry detail intensive graphics with profound smoothness with no discernable flaws whatsoever... and it was supposedly accomplished in a very short amount of time.  Of course, when it actually has other game assets added to it, its state could change, but when you consider that every Zelda demo Nintendo has shown in the past ends up being surpassed graphically when the final game arrives, it certainly bodes well for WiiU's capabilities.
