As I am telling all my friends, we are dealing with Schrödinger's Console. A system that is at the same time more powerful than a PS3 and less powerful than a Wii, and the result can only be defined when we open the actual box (hopefully at E3)

All I care about is the games and Nintendo published games in HD is reason enough for me to get Wii U. The touch-screen controller probably will not be better than iOS or Kindle Fire except that it will have built in controls that are better than touch-screen controls.

E3 2006 had 27 Wii games playable on the show room floor. If the Wii U has even half of that at E3 2012, I think it will be fine so long as the bulk of that are exclusive to the Wii U.

3rd party ports with Wii U specific exclusive features will not sell the console. The only exception to that might be the Aliens - Colonial Marines game due to the possible immersion from having Motion Sensor built into Wii U controller.
