Im trying to order them now, but im a bit confused with the naming etc, i thought the was only 3 books?, how many books are there??

They are 5 so far, but number 3 is sometimes split into two books because it's so long. So it goes like this:

Game of Thrones

Clash of Kings

Storm of Swords 1: Steel and Snow

Storm of Swords 2: Blood and Gold

Feast for Crows

Dance with Dragons

Is it true, the last two books sucked?

Sucked is a bit harsh. GRRM decided to split the last 2 books; they followed different characters over the same timeline so it can be a bit jarring at times. Still good though and they have their important moments. Dance with Dragons starts the story going fully near the end.
