I finally watched Snowpiercer. Good movie, I like the whole Bioshock vibe. It does tend to go a bit too far into video game plot territory. 7.5/10

I did watch Princess Mononoke again today, cause of that thread on vgchartz :) Still a solid 10. One of those 8 pre-orders is the Disney version of Mononoke. I caved in, must collect the full set :/

We watched Elementary today, new season start. A lot of talking, we both started to doze off. Some kinda nonsens of shooting bullets with a 20 tesla 1 ton magnet behind a wall with the bullets prepped inside a passing elevator. One for Mythbusters. It looked like a bitter electro magnet as described on Wikipedia. It looks and feels like a Saturday morning cartoon, yet it is a full feature length epic movie. The drawing style, colors, low fi mono sounds and style of music all have that nostalgia vibe. Always fun to watch again, and that's what I did on this rainy Saturday morning.

I think about watching princess mononoke every time I see your avatar lol last time was on TV years ago maybe i'll watch with the wife soon..

movie about a movie. chaotic,energetic,silly its all over the place.. full package of entertainment but thats also the worst part it gets simply dull at times too much is sometimes less I guess ..the last action scene is where they start making the movie and its so ridiculous its simply amazing and unforgettable.. they sure did borrow a little bit from kill bill.

Interstellar

nolan went a different path this time and showed that he can make an emotional and at times funny movie.. so its not the typical hardcore action,mystery sci fi we know him for its something the mainstream crowd and hardcore fans can enjoy equally. great spectacle,great visuals nothing looked fake the actors did a very good job and even the kids can act which is usually not the case lol

I read some bad reviews before posting this and all I can say is.. its not his best movie but these idiots nitpick everything while they dont even understand the fundamentals. looks like those who hated it was because of the last hour of the movie and that is actually my favorite part thats why I am mad right now it was very good sci fi and yes it was a bit flawed maybe even cheesy but theres this one thing I cant say right now because I would spoil everything but it does make sense and its based on an actual theory so next time I will talk about it if someones interested.

big let down is lack of exploration and that is the only thing right now im dissapointed with I expected so much more..so yeah it is what it is and overall I liked it and I cant wait to watch it next time "at the home" because thats the best experience.

^ Did you manage to catch a 70mm showing of Interstellar?
It's currently 9.1 on IMDB, very high for new sci-fi.

I would like to see it in 70mm, might be the last chance to ever watch a full movie that way. However the nearest theater is an hour away. Get the kids to bed first means I have to go to the 10:20pm showing, thus back home at 2:20 AM yikes. Better bring some strong coffee too lol.

I'm tempted anyway. I guess it would just be torture for my wife? She likes short comedies and fantasy, hates star trek :/

I saw it with my wife she liked it. I asked her what score she would give she said 8.5/10 like I said everyone can enjoy it. im not sure if it was 70mm i dont know much about that stuff but the screen was pretty big lol
