well i guess maybe i shouldn't have compared it with newer mario kart games but i know CTR is better than Mario Kart 64 though and thats for damn sure

 

if Sony would have kept going with CTR it would be the best kart racer to this day

Actually, I would say Mario Kart 64 could hold its own against CTR.  I liked a lot of the design choices in CTR better (particlarly AI, which downright cheated in MK64), but I would say I still had more fun overall playing MK64.

It still comes down to opinion; same way you feel CTR is the best ever, I believe that Mario Kart DS is.  But if LBPK is even close to either of these in quality I'll be happy.

yea i had a hell of a lot more fun with CTR

 

imo Diddy Kong racing was better than Mario Kart 64.

 

i would say that the only game that could hold its own against CTR is probably Diddy Kong racing

 

yea and mario kart DS was pretty good too but i sold mine like 3 years ago

 

i would rather this LBPKart game be like CTR over Mario Kart and it looks like it will be

 

so i guess we just have to agree to disagree

This I think is a great idea. I know it's a copy off Mario Kart, but it's got its own unique twist. If I weren't such a Nintendo nut, I'd be very interested in this. Creating my own tracks and hards...could be cool, especially if it's as polished as LBP1 & 2.

However with the Sony Smash Fighter also in progress....I think Sony should get their own freaken idea's. Uncharted is one of the best franchises this gen, it's unique.

Why didn't ModNation become as popular as Sony thought it would? I mean, i'm not a super huge racing fan, but i really loved the customization in MNR. The fact that i could race around dressed up as a Shinra grunt with a Shinra logo on my car is awesome lol. Though i admit, the loading times were ridiculous. Still though, i think it's a pretty damn good game.

He's just got something against me because I think Killzone 3 multiplayer isn't as balanced as CoD or Halo.

That seems more like a unique twist off Nintendo's Idea.

I mean just look at the video, doesn't it look like Mario Kart 7? Sure there are no hand-gliders, but the drivers have laso's to make them swing bigger gaps, and both games have air tricks.

Just with this and the upcoming Smash Brothers clone, it seems Sony is trying to expand their library by copying Nintendo.
