Forums - Gaming - Now I´m 100% positive I won´t get Ninja Gaiden 3.

What a shame. NG2(on 360) is awesome, but now it just seems so dumb downed. I was really looking forward to this game, but now I might rent it at best or wait till it's super cheap.

Wow it's like everything that made NG what it is happens to be gone.

eh sounds like a try and see. Plus doesn't non-upgradeable items make for a much harder and skill-base game anyways?

Shame...seems like everyone might need to go to Metal Gear Rising, but maybe Ninja Gaiden 3 is still good in its new form.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

NGB on Xbox handed me my ass about 100 billion times. It was fucking tough. and that's why I liked it. Why water down what makes a game great. Does it even matter if a person plays the game? Half the games I own I bought just to own...lol

Because they want it to be more accesiable so everyone can beat it. What they don´t understand is that they will lose its core fan base.

Now the hardest difficulty is dlc. Complete bs if u ask me.

I decided not to get it after seeing the gameplay video ...

I mean what was the point of making such powerful blows and then not have the enemies appear cut, it just feels and looks odd to me.

QTE’s can be turned off in the options menu, but are frequent throughout the game, from a slow- motion knee slide to slicing through enemies to using the Kunai climb.

They can be turned off so whatever

Playing as Ryu makes you feel like a super hero as he is nearly unstoppable, meaning you won’t die as nearly as much as in previous games.

Five difficulty levels: Hero, Normal, Hard, Master Ninja and Ultimate Ninja.

Can't really comment on the difficulty until I've played it but considering I've beaten all the other ninja gaidens on the hardest difficulty I was expecting this to be a breeze.

Gone is every primary weapon save for Ryu’s single sword (You still have shurikens).

Thats just stupid, but there do appear to be other weapons for (free) download

No yellow essence currency from killing enemies or opening chests.

You won't be able to spam UT's to breeze through the game, this is a good thing

You are stuck with a non-upgradable sword and Ryu’s health regenerates after each battle, so health restoring items have been excised.

Seems like they want to streamline it into a pure action game, we'll see if it works

Ninpo has become a use it or lose it perk that powers up during each encounter.

Same as UT, this is a good thing

Limb removal is gone.

Pure stupidity, it was a fun mechanic. But there should still be plenty of gore.

Campaign is split into eight days and the story runs circles around the other games.

Thats good I guess

Bosses are nowhere near as memorable or numerous as you’d expect from a Ninja Gaiden game.

Ninja gaiden doesn't really have memorable bosses though

Only one cameo from a Dead or Alive character, Ayane.

Thats all there ever is, though this sucks since they teased Kasumi in sigma 2

You can lower the difficulty at any point in the game.

OK, you can also not lower it

Ninja Cinema returns

Good? Is this being listed as a negative?

Time for hype

From everything Ive seen about this game it seems the devs want to make a ninja gaiden more like the original xbox game then NG2. With a hint of the NES games in atmosphere.
