True- AJ doesn't really have her own episode (there are a couple which could be considered mainly about her, but not completely)

I'm not so sure about that, she has episodes I would call her own (Applebuck Season comes to mind straight away) but I just don't feel she shines as strongly in those as ponies like Rarity do in their own episodes. That's not to say she isn't good, she's just...consistent rather than stand out.

Well I'm pretty wishy-washy about my ponies when it comes to order..but only because I don't know if I like Rarity or Pinkie Pie more. the others all have their slot.

1 - Rainbow Dash - She's consistently the coolies and probably most fun, plus she's strong willed and proud
2 - Applejack - Has no flaws, she's a genuinely nice, hard worker who also has a bit of a pride thing going on.
3 - Twilight - Smart, headstrong, logical, rational, and has the best tweak-outs. Loads of fun
4 - Rarity - Confident and generous, even if her vanity sometimes gets in the way of her awesomeness
5 - Pinkie Pie - Deadpool of the Pony world. Awesome, but she's not very deep of a character. Just silly.
6 - Fluttershy - Reserved and quiet. cute, but not a lot of fun to be around, when she's assertive, she's scary.

And that's my reasoning for my order, though Rarity and Pinkie Pie may switch. I often have a hard time keeping Dash at the top of the list because the episodes that revolve around her make her look like a selfish, arrogant bitch, but in all the OTHER episodes, she's a genuinely good person with an ego...I like that. kinda like me! brash, loud, up for a good time, and knows she's awesome.

Applejack is a close second becuase she's strong willed, a hard worker, and willing to do ANYTHING for a friend; she's also the most down to earth of the ponies. A lot of people think AJ is shallow because she doesn't have a discernible flaw, but I say the group NEEDS a character without a flaw, as a cowgirl, she acts like the post that keeps the rest grounded.

I have a hard time NOT putting Twilight on top simply becuase she's the smartest, most capable of the group, even if she's a bit socially inept. she also has by far the best 'go crazy' scenes, and I think the episodes surrounding her are regularly the best written and most entertaining (save The Last Roundup). Lesson Zero, It's About Time, and A Canterlot Wedding are three of the best episodes in the show, and they all focus mostly around Twilight.

Rarity is an enigma. Most of the time she is the very definition of what I don't like...stuck up, prude, selfish, and arrogant...but she pulls it off. She's legitimately generous and kind, always wanting to help others out and give all she can, but her desire to be noticed and revered often get in her way of being the kind soul she is at heart.

Pinkie Pie...not a lot to say here. she's super hilarious, and I suppose you could argue she has the most hidden wealth of them all, but her randomness could really do with some grounding. Since she's not a deep character and she doesn't have flaws, her only REAL value is humor and the occasional Deus Ex MAchina, roles she fills amazingly well.

FLuttershy is probably the only pony I just don't like. It's not that she's mean or anything, but her two extremes are two things I can't stand in a person. I hate people who let others walk all over them...and I hate aggressive, mean, violent people who walk over others. when she's not in the spotlight, she's cute and all, but when she's in the spotlight she's either useless or a bitch. I hate saying that because I used to like her second most, but she's really gotten on my nerves as season 2 went on. The only episode where she played a major role that I liked was the Find a Pet episode, and that was mostly because I loved the chemistry between her and Dash.

I think I'm officially a brony...can't deny it anymore. I just analyzed why I like each pony....might as well make a Pony OC!

I think a lot of people pick RD because she is more masculine than all the other ponies, and therefore the most appealing.
