Nice to see the first Wii U appearance!
And Rayman took some big steps not to be a glorified flash game anymore!

Too bad it's still Rayman...

I wonder if a NFC device can simulate those NFC tags. I think it can... FREE extra content!

the game looks really good, I skipped the wii version waiting for the 3ds version, but now it seems like I am buying two rayman games in a year... E3 is getting closer now, I hope we get some other "leaks" before Iwata drops the bomb!

Coming to a store near you

Technically we've known Nintendo has had its eyes on a purple 3DS for almost two years now. When the publisher unveiled the portable back at E3 2010, it displayed a number of conceptual color variations, including red, teal, orange and purple. (Two of those have now made it to stores.) According to a recent retailer listing unearthed by GoNintendo, the purple edition might be on its way.

Called 'Midnight Purple', the 3DS has no release date or affiliated bundle. Also note that the below picture is from E3 2010, meaning things like the slightly tinted Circle Pad are not accurate.

Still, you can gaze in awe at what might be coming to a store near you soon. Now, Nintendo, about that orange model...

If you have something that can simulate the correct RF signal, it could work. But someone got into a little trouble for trying to reverse engineer the Skylander figures.

I'm amazed that Other M is bigger than Xenoblade by quite a margin. That's FMV for ya.

Also, that new 3DS colour is very, VERY nice.

Remember that Monolith managed to squeeze the original Japanese version of Xenoblade onto a single layer disc (which is maybe why they had to cut one area from the final release).  That's an amazing achivement given the size of the game and the fact it has voice acting.  Anything in the western versions of Xenoblade that it over the single layer limit is just the English voices; which I personally think were added because the French, Germany, etc subtitles made the European release require a dual layer disc anyway (which maybe explains why The Last Story didn't have dual audio perhaps).

Like you said, it really shows the effect of FMVs, I think I remember reading somewhere that the 3 PSX Final Fantasy games were 40-50% FMV on the 3/4 discs they came on.

Yeah, true (and it's a shame. The shoulder looked absolutely awesome, and it would have been cool to maybe have another couple Mechonis areas, and even a fire area (a voclano would be possible...the area in the mountain was cool, but too short). But that's just being a bit picky. The game is already well over 100 hours long, after all...

The FMV's are the main reason why people think that games need to have top-notch graphics to be a good game. But other games just show you that's not the case.
