Firstly I woud like to thank everyone for keeping the thread from not turning into a flame war. I am shocked it has not been locked yet.

As I said if you suggest that the Prophet Mohammed did not exist you are not basing your opinion on any logic or fact. The decesdents of his family existed for 100's of year and had a huge effect.

Well the difference between Jesus and Mohammed is Mohammed went into Battle and directed the battles ( I do not think he ever took part in the battle, as I think his followers would not let him).

I know his Uncle Hamza and his Cousin Ali used to fight, actually Hamza was considered like a legendary fighter.

I think the Prophet lost one battle...
(where the infamous story comes that Wife of the Ruler of Mecca ate the heart of Hamza)
However, he was facing one of the greatest generals in world history, Khalid ibn al-Walid.

He then joined the Prophets side and won massive victories over the Sassainds and the Byzantines that really helped establish Islam.
So the Prophet was quite blessed to have such support unlike Jesus.

One guy betrayed him and his best Friend peter denied his existence 3 times over one night lol....

You know what believe in the stories or not, a lot of these stories are actually quite fun and entertaining, they blow away most of the storylines in movies these days... That exaplains why films like Ben Hur and the Ten Commandments are two of the most popular films ever. Forget about the religious part, the storyline is entertaining!!

While it's true his companions feared Mohamed would perish in battle, he still fought.

and yes, Khalid bin alwaleed is a very underrated general, never lost a battle. Even before Khalid converted to Islam he delivered Mohamed and his companions their first defeat by flanking them in "Uhud".

Defeating a Messenger of God is a big feat... lol

Anyways he was quite instrumental in helping establishing Islam as help win huge victories against the big powers of the area, severely weakening them.

lol

as a muslim I have to respect both of them as they both have the same god. Jesus played an important role for Mohamed to continue. I mean even in the first bible they talked about a man that would be followed by clouds protecting him from the heat sun among other things

anywho I'm getting out of here

Jesus>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mohammed. Jesus is God. How can anyone be superior?

Wow, lots of Muhammad lovers here!

Muhammad about martyrdom:

Bukhari:V4B52N53 "The Prophet said, 'Nobody who dies and finds Paradise would wish to come back to this life even if he were given the whole world and whatever is in it, except the martyr who, on seeing the superiority of martyrdom, would like to come back to get killed again in Allah's Cause.'"
Bukhari:V4B52N54 "The Prophet said, 'Were it not for the believers who do not want me to leave them, I would certainly and always go forth in army units setting out in Allah's Cause. I would love to be martyred in Allah's Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.'"

I vote Jesus.

Jesus :
Gandhi once said; this is a paraphrased version of what he said because I don't have the source available: that if everyone would follow the teachings set forth by Jesus in the sermon on the mount, the world would be a more peaceful happy place.

The link contain many of Gandhi's view on Jesus and his teaching. I also like that he basically said what passes off as Christanity today is an aboration of all the teachings of Christ.

1) Yes, they got married at 14, but that marriage was arranged way before that. (poor girl?)

2) Wtf.

3) That doesn't matter, and you're still factualy wrong. At 1500 people went through puberty later than they do nowadays due to lack of nutrition.

How anyone can defend this religion is beyond me.

Okay this is bothering me so I'll clear this up. Firstly, Muhammad never had sex with Aisha. He didn't marry her because he wanted to, but it was arranged by his uncle because he was depressed after the death of his first wife and his uncle felt that Muhammad needed some youth in his life to make him happy again. Also, this worked with the culture of that time because many "higher-up" men didn't marry for love or lust, rather they married so they could gain control of the land from where the girl was from (this is crucial if you want to expand your audience to spread your belief). Multiple marriages were common during that time, and once again fit in with the culture and the era.

Finally, this marriage worked out for Muhammad as well. He raised Aisha as a daughter and she brought happiness to his life and helped him get away from his depression. He also taught her all of God's words (aka, the Quran) and since she was young, she was able to retain all of it. This was all according to the plan of Abu Bakr (Muhammad's uncle) because after Muhammad's death (she was 18), she was able to lead in the creation of the Quran and the Haddith because she remembered every one of God's verses thanks to her young mind. Muhammad also gave her a lot of authority, and she lead a lot of women's prayers and was a strong advocate for helping spread women's right in Arabia and other nations.

So in short, Muhammad raised Aisha as a daughter. She brought happiness to his life, she helped expand his audience, and she gained the authority to lead in the creation and education of the Quran and the Haddith. There was no "rape" or "pedophilia" involved as many people like to say when they attack Islam. So please, EDUCATE yourself before making ignorant conclusions or beliefs. Ironically, this is also a verse from the Haddith...

I am Muslim and allow me to tell you that your little story here is pure fiction. Mohammad DID have sex with Aisha but she couldn't have kids and that is explained within the context of Islam as a blessing from God so she'd remain focused on memorizing his words of wisdom which she would later help write down.

Oh and Aisha was the daughter of his best friend (his uncle also had nothing to do with it and this marriage happened long after the death of his first wife and following other marriages), so I don't understand how she helped "expand his audience" since her father and family comes from the same place that Mohammad came from.
