Forums - Gaming - Sim City - IS BACK!?

I love SimCity.

But give me an option to make roundabouts and especially pedestrian areas, goddammit!!

I can't wait if true.

I'm cautiously optimistic, just as long as I'm not limited to zoning on orthagonals again. And let's have a simple to use Building Architect - SC4's was a nightmare if you aren't a 3D modeller, and the dependencies probably aren't even available anymore.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Oh I so hope the graphics look that good (and hopefully I'll have a decent enough machine to run the game). I always did have a special place in my heart for Sim City.

Sim City 4, though not without its flaws, was the best city simulation game ever made, and is easily one of my favorite games of all time. If this is true, I would be absolutely thrilled...and worried. Can EA make a real Sim City that tops SC4? I have some serious doubts. Will they support modding and custom buildings like SC4 but without the player-made content mess that was Spore? Changes and additions that players made kept SC4 fresh and relevant through many years of lackluster challengers and a stagnant genre. A lot of gamers see Sim City 2000 as the best game in the series, but serious city-builders know that SC4 is the true king, and a new addition would have a lot to live up to. If there's any merit to the rumor, I really hope they can craft a game deserving of the title Sim City 5.

Back to the old formula? Nice. Societies did not suit my tastes.

Thumbs up to Pharaoh Stans. I have to finish that one too. And Emperor. Zeus I took care of (H)

Wow. Quite a bit of people seem to like SimCity! I enjoyed some of the games, I hope this one will be good. It seems very much that it won't come true though. :|

Let's hope they don't put stupid DRM on it.

This reminds me that I still have to finish an amazing game:

Thumbs up sir, my favourite simulation game together with SC3 and Caesar III!

Thumbs up to you my good sir for mentioning Caesar III.

Caesar III, Pharoah and SC2000 have to be my three favourite in this genre.

Four thumbs up!!! Got it free with a magazine many years ago thinking it was going to be one crappy gift, and was greeted with an enjoyable, addicting game.

Everyone in my family was fighting to have a go at it.

Surprised by all the positive Sim City 4 responses. Always thought (without playing it) that it didn't meet expectations.

Sim City 4 did, it was Sim City Societies a few years ago that did not.
