Book series: Bartimaeus Tetralogy.
Movie series: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Television show: N/A
Book: Harry Potter Series, although ‘Never-ending Story’ is quite good too.
Movie: The Lord of the Rings and hopefully the New Hobbit movies. The dragon Smaug is my favorite character and I hope they do a good job with him.
TV: The Scrapped Princess (Animae)
'The Scrapped Princess' has a touch of sci fiction, but it's mostly mid-evil with swords, magic and of course, Dragons.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned. Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon! |

Tell me a funny joke! |
Here is my list of favorites:
Fantasy Book Series: Harry Potter
Fantasy Movie(s): Lord of the Rings
Fantasy TV Show: Charmed
Nobody mentions the Wheel of Time series? Damn. Eye of the World is my all time favorite book.
A warrior keeps death on the mind from the moment of their first breath to the moment of their last.

Battlestar Galactica was a great show. Probably one of my all time favorites
I don't think anything will ever touch LotR for me. Its so amazing in its own right but has also become the bedrock of the genre. Also, my father read it to me and my siblings growing up so it has a special place in my heart.
TV show wise, I was always partial to Krod Mandoon. Still can't believe they cancelled it. Oh and Game of Thrones season 1 was pretty amazing.

Fantasy Books - Redwall Series - Brian Jacques , series about mice and talking animals that live out a middle age type life and warfare. Mainly for children and I read it while a young teen but I still have found memories and never read a series like this ever (I would stay up late trying to read as much as possible)
Fantasy Movies - listed in the op (Willow)
Book series- A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of thrones etc.) The Drenai series by David Gemmell and Raymond E Fiest's 4 books on the Demon War are excellent as well.
Film- Conan The Barbarian.
TV Series- I've heard great things about the Game Of Thrones series, but I don't want to watch it. I have my own view of how the world and characters look in my head, I'd rather keep it that way.

Funny I almost bought Sliders season 1 and 2 the other day at half priced books. At what point do the sisters change? Doesn't some character leave or something at some point? If I had to guess it was Shannon Daughtery. What was the excuse for the change of appearance? |
At the end of season 3 Prue was killed off. Shannon Daughtery pretty much got fired from what I know.
I own all 8 seasons of Charmed on DVD. It is a fun show to watch. I haven't seen any episodes of Sliders but I might to give it a try.

I would have to say that I have not read the books, and probably will not now that the show is on. But the same thing happened with me and Lord of the Rings and most of the Potter movies. I am sure the books are probably much better than the shows and movies, but I cannot force myself to read them now that I already know how they will end.
@ Smeags God I hate quoting like this. Is there a way to multi quote? Anyone know? I think I see Rol doing it sometimes. Anyways..... What about Legend of the Seeker or Hercules or any other show like that? |
Rol has special un-human-like powers, that's why.
