Fantasy Books - Redwall Series - Brian Jacques , series about mice and talking animals that live out a middle age type life and warfare. Mainly for children and I read it while a young teen but I still have found memories and never read a series like this ever (I would stay up late trying to read as much as possible)

Fantasy Movies - listed in the op (Willow)

I actually just picked up what I hope is the first book. Redwall. It is in paper back, but should do perfectly fine for me. I remember hearing about it as a kid, but never caring to read it. As I said in the OP I was mainly a Sword of Truth type of person. Plus the fact that I do not read books too much anymore will probably slow me down reading it. But I will get to it, the book seems like it will be a 3-4 hour read, so maybe on a trip to the city on the train or something will handle it for me.

Warwick Davis is great!

Yea I believe they probably took me 5-6 hours when I was a kid but I am not the fastest reader (probably faster than I was then) and I would reread certain important parts.  I actually found a ton of the books (I think pretty much the entire series) in the attic when I was going through boxes my old things a month or so ago at my parents' house.

Around the Network

I would say that all the Studio Ghibli movies are my favorite. Especially Totoro. My first Ghibli movie was Spirited Away. I saw it on CartoonNetwork when they used to show quality movies. The most recent one I saw was Ponyo, which was amazing too. Those movies just have that mysterious/fantasy like touch that just makes them perfect.

ARe you going to see the Secret World of Arietty? That kind of reminds me of the Spirited Away movies. I have never seen them before, beyond a few scenes here and there, but I have seen enough trailers and clips.

I'm not sure. If I did I would rent/buy it on blu-ray/dvd. It looks a little too Disney-ized, though... :/

I will probably be seeing arrietty when it comes to the dollar cinema. It does look pretty decent, just not worth 5-10 dollars plus popcorn.

I did recently see Journey 2 in 3D, though! It was pretty good and it was my first 3D movie in a while.

My Favourite Fantasy book series would have to be the liveship traders series by Robin Hobb (or really any series in that arc, The Farseer trilogy, Liveship Traders, Tawny man & Rain Wilds). I've been severely anti-tolkien tropes in the last 18 months (and sworn off anything involving them for the most part) but her series' still strike a chord with me (thankfully they basically only use dragons, no orcs dwarfs or elves thank god). Her characters & character development Is outstanding, they are so vivid & the worlds are so well described & vibrant, plus the stories tend to be quite dark & atypical (non typical). Highly recommended to anyone who likes high fantasy.

Favourite Fantasy movie, Does Paprika (animated) count?, otherwise I can't say I've ever seen a good one.
