You don't have to download games.

Even if I probably won't save as much as 80 bucks I'd welcome any price cut since I don't want any particular launch game anyways. |
Vita does have a decent launch line-up, and more titles are coming in quickly. Who knows what they have planned for E3 as well, but i'm sure the Vita will be a huge focus. I very much doubt that Sony will be dropping the Vita price anytime soon, they aren't Nintendo.

Yeah, I'm not expecting a cut anytime soon either. Hopefully E3 will convince me to buy it ASAP.

I do if I want to play PSP games, and buying a new system without an old library to support it strikes me as foolish, espeecially when many of the games on the Vita are not to my liking. Half of the reason I wanted a Vita at one point was to make up for my having missed the PSP.
Odd. I'll probably be one of the last people to ever buy a new PSP.
I don't think it is, at least not for me. Is very expensive for a handheld gaming devise, and most of the launch line-up is good but does not compels me to buy it. I am still waiting for 3 titles to catch my attention and I only see 1 right now, so at launch I would say NO, maybe by the end of this year and hopefully at a smaller price.
Voted yes as I'm getitng one within the next few weeks. Never got a system at launch before, except the Wii, which ended up a total disaster - but I'm willing to get behind the Vita and give it a good go. I've never really hit it off with a handheld but I think my life is going more towards a lifestyle that suits one, I think the games made for handhelds are more in tune with what I want and I think it's just a sexy piece of kit.
Game line up is pretty faultless imo for the first few months - tons of games I want and will have to make some tough decisions which ones I give my time and which I don't. The biggest worry is the long-term software line up is slightly dry at the moment, but with so many games at launch it could well be they just don't want to take the focus too far away. Either way I'll put faith in the thing, as like I said, I'm willing to get behind it.
If you bought anything like a PS3, Wii or 3DS at launch I can see no reason how the Vita is less justified.
Not if any of the games you are looking forward to aren't launch titles. Like in my case.
It depends, and I hate to sound so subtle, on the individual.

Sadly I'm in the same situation, I'm only intrested in Gravity Daze and thats not coming out until late May. There really isn't anything anounced either (thats exclusive) that I want from it, hopefully E3/TGS gives me a reason..
Former something....
Certainly not in Europe at the moment. Yes, the lineup is far above average for a system at this stage in its lifespan, but the price is criminal and hopefully will be reduced by retailers with time, before a proper official price cut.
