That's still to come. I wrote that initial post late last night, it is now 10:00 in the morning here and i just watched One Piece. Bright and sunny, though. A good day for cherry blossom viewing.

Grr I'm currently filling out my application and I find it hard to articulate why I want to go to Japan. Any details about the country or Tokyo that will help me finish this application. I'm so close to being finished, just need to flesh it out some more.

Not much. Having been in the country, i still can't describe it's unique appeal. You could mention the dignified, non-confrontational spirituality that is present in Japan (lots of shrines and temples all over, but the concept of faith doesn't get the same, sometimes obnoxious components that it does as much in the USA. The casualization of religion means i've done more "spiritual" things here than in the preceding 3 years combined.

To add to the thread, next-to-last day here. I was in Akiba as part of a farewell day (spending tomorrow packing) and saw one of the stores heavily advertising Fire Emblem: Awakening, but couldn't find a demo.

I did, however, buy a manga that i'm pretty sure is extremist right-wing propaganda. I'll have to read it careful to interpret where the message actually lies
