That's the most sensible thing to do, expect nothing and you will be rewarded with many good surprises. Unfortunately it's very hard to do.

Personally I only expect to know more about WiiU and its games.

I don't think that it is possible to have a worse E3 this year, than lasts. It was absolutely horrible last year.

- Lots of info on the Wii U (price, release date, launch games, finally learn the real technical specs of the system and see just how powerful it really is...and there´s the possibility the system is getting a new name)

- I´m extremely eager to finally see Nintendo games in high definition and on a system that´s more powerful than the 360 and PS3

- Maybe get a confirmation that a new Eternal Darkness is really being made for the Wii U?...like a collaboration between Silicon Knights and Retro..

- Something about the next Xbox (there may be a good chance we´ll see what it looks like)

- Release dates for Halo 4, GTA V, The Last of Us

-If it hasn´t happened by then, confirmation of God of War IV along with a release date

-I don´t expect to see/hear anything about PS4

Hopes;

-news from Valve on Half-Life release

-news of Thief 4 and preferably some gameplay

-expansion(s) for The Witcher 2

-news and confirmed release date of Risen 2

-Playstation 4 news and launch window

-nextbox info and late 2012/early 2013 release window

-Mario Kart and Mario platformer shown for Wii U

-announcment of new Bioware title, possibly Dragon Age III

-showing of and massive gameplay bonanza from Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm and launch window

-whining on the Wii U's showing

-name change for the Wii U based on whining...

That's all I got for now, I'm really starting to get apathetic to these events now and I just want the next generation to start already.

MAYBE a Super Slim PS3 with a small price cut

LittleBigPlanet Karting gameplay (YAY)
God of War 4 (MAYBE, unless they are saving it for PS4)
a big secret game for end of year launch

Theyr is NOTHING that could get me more excited than a Retro developed Metroid Prime 4 for Wii U launch! :D

I'll be reasonable.

The only thing I hope for is a live action halo 4 trailer, so i have something to watch on youtube a few dozen times. Its crazy how great the ODST and Reach ones were. Comparable production values to the big hollywood blockbusters.

While gameplay footage would be nice to see how the game is going and all its not really something that will have a wow factor like battlefield 3 gameplay or god of war 3 gameplay. Halo games are fun to play not to watch be played like the before mentioned games, so it will be hard not to be dissappointed by a gameplay trailer.
