Forums - Gaming - Update: Mass Effect 3 Facebook app runs out of demo codes

IGN

A new mini game has provided a way to download Mass Effect 3's upcoming demo a few days early.

By playing a short Facebook game, fans can win a code for early access to the demo.

Players will have three attempts to decode a sequence by clicking on a series of four icons. A failed attempt will lock you out of the game for 120 minutes, but a successful attempt will earn you a code redeemable for an Avatar item or the demo. For now, only Xbox 360 versions of these items appear to be available.

Spoilers! We discuss what's in the Mass Effect 3 demo

Mass Effect 3's demo will be downloadable for all platforms on February 14th. The Xbox 360 version features Kinect integration, which we had a chance to try out last month

Keep checking back to IGN for a full video walkthrough of the demo.

I gonna do this!!

And win!

I have to wait before I can try again, this game is wtf

Its not that hard really, tried it yesterday and got it on my first attempt. Played the single player demo, very emotive. The two levels were the ones I guessed they would be, the Reaper attack on Earth and rescuing the Krogan female. Surprised how much I was up for massacring anyone Cerberus sent at me after watching the Reapers devastate Earth.

Sad that it's only for the 360. I watched a 15 min playthrough of the demo yesterday and I so want to try it. They brought back the accuracy stat for weapons from ME1 (i.e - firing them constantly will increase the scatter distance) which was one of the things I loved in that game

Wasn't trying to brag, just didn't seem that complicated. Maybe I just got lucky.

i rather wait for the full game..

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Yeah I really don't understand how this is supposed to work. Is it just a 1/24 chance of winning any given attempt?

I got it and by my logic of how i got it it seems simple. You just hover your mouse over one of the icons and the one thats has the circle and other moving slant the closest is what you click when their intersecting. Then you repeat with the other 3 nodes at least thats how i got it.
