RP's yeah moment is no where near Howard Dean's.
Though it illustrates the hardest part about being a RP fan, he needs strong mentoring in speech writing and delivery. If he would talk like Obama/Clinton/Reagan, etc, he'd be the front runner.

Nah. People genuinely don't like/understand freedom. I know that sounds simplistic and bumper sticker like, but it's the sad truth. Look at how much traction any sort of "free shit is a right!" nonsense gets. We're so far down that road now that we've got the federal government forcing employers to pay for their employees' condoms, so Ron Paul could be a charismatic superbeing created Serpentor style from the DNA of Bill Clinton, The Rock, and Milton Friedman, but people aren't gonna bite.
And in my experience, the hardest part about being a Ron Paul fan supporter is actually other Ron Paul supporters.

Real freedom is indeed really hard to get right. It would involve people getting a set of limited rights, and the government getting a set of limited powers, and it somehow staying that way no matter how much lobbying/popular pressure/terrorism or piracy legislation there was to change that.
Ron Paul isn't the guy to do that (lol at some of his other policies regarding abortion or education) but he's the only American politician who's even thinking in this direction instead of super pragmatist, what can I get away with right now mentality of Obama/Bush/Romney/practically everyone.
