sigh... looks like we are once again going to be one gen behind in the handheld gaming if vita fails.

No. But everything has been set up so far for the VITA to fail hard. I personally think it is a great device and it will be the first console I will puck up at launch but the way things are going I don't know if any devs will be willing to support an install base of under 5 million versus an install base of over 15 million.

That's true and all, but Sony's games alone should (almost) be enough to make a purchase worth it! At least they'll keep developing for it no matter what happens ;)
The final dagger will be the announcement of 3ds lite, adding the 2nd joystick, & its Wii U function as an alternate pad, official.
That said, Vita may still get my business, since I want an upgrade to my old ass ipod (its real competitor), and I do have a PS3 to try out that compatibility feature as well.

Why exactly would Gamestop try to lower the sales of a different product that they are selling? lol |
Hurt vita? The sale ends 2 days before vita comes out then it goes back to it's old price..
Former something....

Conspiracy!!

It doesn't mean it WILL hurt Vita's sales. It just looks like an obvious attempt at trying to do so. But by who? I don't know, but the probability that it was GameStop is low.
Well if you took some person who hasn't decided which one he/she wants (3ds or vita) and then they suddenly see the new lower price, I think it will affect their decision. Then once the 3ds has won the person over, I doubt they will consider getting a vita on top of that.
I would wait to see what Amazon does before looking into too deeply. Now if Amazon announces the cut all hell will break lose.

How can I be wrong? Its my company I work for I'm not exactly guessing.
I never said Nintendo wasn't pushing for this. What I said is that its a temporary drop and it is. the Official price is still the same.........for now.
