Yay for Monsieur Lazhar! I saw that movie because I live in Quebec, it's THAT amazing, yet simple!

It's nothing short of a masterpiece. You better go in with a good background in complex Cinema though, theres an enormous amount of Imagery. In fact when watched theres actually little dialouge, its driven by the imagery itself and in such a profound way its breathtaking. Its a movie that makes you, nothing short of, reflect on life in general. Superb in my book, and I've seen a good number of movies to compare, and I've never seen anything like this which evokes so much emotion and stirs so many thoughts. I highly recommend it!

DH2 was too popular (but James Cameron would like to disagree, I know). Did you see Drive? |
I haven't seen Drive,no. I was about the watch it but my friend changed her mind in the last second.

Damn boih! Drive is the best movie of 2011 IMO. So different, so fresh, so good
Not too excited anything this year, I agree about Drive though, seeing some nominations for that movie would at least get me a little hyped.
Hurray for "Monsieur Lazhar"! I haven't seen it but it's from Quebec so I'm rooting for it!
Signature goes here!
I haven't seen any of the films up for Best Picture, and half of them I haven't even heard of.
Must have been a shit year for movies. Thank goodness 2012 is looking strong.
Out of the Best Picture nominees, I've only seen Midnight In Paris and I was pleasantly surprised considering the movie stars Owen Wilson.

Drive got snubbed like it was nobody's business. Not surprised Ides of March gets a 'Best Writing' solely for eating a 3-square meal of the leftist agenda. The movie was still great, but even the critics admit it solely survived because of the excellent acting.
