I like the DS3. I have never understood the people who claim Sony has a bad controller. For over 10 years the DualShock design has been considered the de facto controller layout, because it supports holding and playing in multiple ways. You aren't "forced" to hold it the required way.

I like the discussion going on. The majority seem to approve of the touchpad being added to the back of the controller. I also like the idea of adding buttons near where the ring fingers rest on the handle. That could be used as a trigger for first person shooters.

Make it a simpler/cheaper version of the Vita with some good grips and allow us to also use the vita as a controller for every game.

Or we could go with the old "break-apart" idea if we wanna go the Move route.

I like the DS controller its perfect for fighting games and I dont like using a joystick very much.

• Make the triggers concave
• Keep sixaxis, and actually encourage people to use it for something this time.
• An interesting experiment would be to put a small trackball on the front, but that could just go horribly wrong.

Really, it's mostly fine as it is.

I Bought a PS3 ONLY for that same reason XD

But I have to say... DS3 overall is the best controller, but have some flaws, is not perfect... Yet.. So let's halp make it perfect so other people can trow their "dreamcast-like" Xbox Controller! ^^

First, change the shape on the back part, I got calluses on my left middle finger because of the inconfortable shape of the controller.. mostly because I naturally put those fingers below the triggers, I just can´t play with the Midle fingers over tha Triggers like on "Dremcast-like" Xbox controller...

Second, more than adding some trigger they Should put them below, more nelow so we have not to put middle fingers over tha back of the controllers...

Third, I like better Stick up on the controller like on dreamcast's, Gamecubes, WiiU and "dreamcast-like" Xbox's controllers... if both are up better, like on futures WiiU tablet-like controller... If they keep them below, then they should separate them a litlle so they can be easier to use.. But still think that Upper Sticks are a GREAT idea..

Fourth, The D-pad like is right now is good... but if they are gonna change it better than a + D-pad like tha "dreamcast-like" Xbox failed (for fighting games) D-pad is a touch panel printed with some depressible relief... the Buttons can be made like this too so the can match xP

Fifth, more than Bigger the controller can be Wider so the rear touch panel be like Vita's (not so big although).. but this only uf they don' make my Step Two...

the playstation controller is the best controller ive ever used

id prefer better trigger buttons and improved button durability

mabey they could add a rear touch pad

I like the way the controller is now, just add triggers for L2 and R2 and leave it at that imo

but don't add a back touchpad, I remember reading in an interview for the PSV, they wanted to make sure there were some differences between the PSV and PS3 inputs just to make games different for each platform

don't make f*cking matte versions of it... the newer DS3s just feel so much worse then the first glossy DS3s...

didn't like the first sixaxis controls to be honest but i love the ds 3 and don't feel the need for any changes tbh
