Your review isn't very spoiler free, but good non the lest. It's a pretty old movie so you cant technically review the movie aspects like its audio or visuals. However you could talk about its inconsistency like how bond was threaten by a guy, while his body guard was literally 1 inc away.

I give your review a solid 8/10

Well, I didn't want to make it spoiler free.

Yeah, there were a lot of minor mistakes like that, but you have to forgive them a little bit because it was done live.

Casino Royale with Craig is/was dreadful as Bond. He is a terrible actor and IMO the worst Bond of all time. Lazenby, Moore Dalton were better than Craig. Connery was my fave and Brosnan was my second favourite.

The character may look fit for the part but can he act. Aussie actor/model: Lazenby was indeed the best looking Bond.

Great review, you really put lots of effort into it. Now I gotta go watch it.

Signature goes here!

Great review, it's a shame I only had the time to watch snippets of it.

Haven't got much to say about this one, hopefully with the other Bond movie's we could start up a discussion.

Good review my boy, I really enjoyed reading it. I didn't get around to watching the movie yet, but I will when I get a chance.

I have a really low data limit on my internet here so I'll have to go on campus and use their internet to watch it soon!

I can't wait for your Dr. No review. It was the most boring Bond movie in history IMO (there is literally no action at all) so I'm looking forward to what you say about it.

Excellent review Amp, loved reading it. I especially enjoyed reading the comparison between the recent Casino Royale film and this one. Seems Le Chiffre was a strong point in both films. I also really liked the part where you mentioned the final poker hand in the 2006 version. Easily the most unlikely thing to ever happen in a James Bond movie.

Great job Amp, keep it up!

good stuff amp,i haven't seen this one and can't even remember seeing it on the old telly over the years,i will have to have a look out for it as i am a film fan, only heard of the niven casino royale

i shall look forward to the reviews, sounds liek a bit of work, can't agree with the guy above saying the modern casino roayle and graig was rubbish, best bond film in years and i liek the dalton bonds too but i guess they are for another day

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

well i just watched it and i do really enjoy old films in black and white, peter lorre as le chiffre is the best thing about casino royale,i think le chiffre is one of my fav bond villains really especially after seeing this tv movie aswell as the recent one.i haven't read the novels so i don't really know what bond is truly like although i am told he is hard, cold and ruthless and not like the joker we often see in the movies,he is not scottish is he,please don't tell me he is scottish.you know as a white english straight man you can feel like everybody has you by the balls and you can't move for fear of losing them and i look to bond,he still does it for all of us which is why i was happy craig brought some umph back to bond, anyway enough about my identity issues and back to the tv movie

i like the card game storyline, not sure they really got bonds casting right but it was for american tv so what else are they going to do,don't think he really fitted the kind of evening that was going on,it was like film noir detective bond,he thought he was bogart didn't he but it was quite brutal, pliers on the toes in the nice marble bath, good old le chiffre and pleasing to see htey started as they mean to go on,no one killing james bond when they have the opportunity and a sexy sophisticated lady

i think it will be fun to watch them as you go,i might try and pick up some of them,i remember seeing Dr No going cheap second hand on bluray,of course i know them pretty well anyway,i think die another day is the only bond film i don't really know well and brosnan is my least favourite but maybe this will change my mind,i don't hate any of them to be truthful

Bond films really do have a place in film hisotry and started a few things for action cinema like the superb opening titles, theme songs and style ,not as popular with todays market but still going and will always have a film in him somewhere,

it reminds me to tell people about Night of the demon(curse of the demon in the us) a 1957 bw movie about an american expert who flies over to england to disprove an occult leader of his dark magic,it really is one of the best chiller movies i've watched,if you like that sort of genre, can't recommend it enough

i prefer bond villains to be imaginative and have ambitions/background and not just going after a drug dealer or arms dealer story like a few of the films do

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

Brosnan is your least favorite?

What about the guy who plays bond in this movie, or the guy from Hot Fuzz who played bond in the early 90's, or lazenby?

Brosnan is right behind Connery. I.M.O and in many others opinions as well. Goldeneye alone cemented his spot at number two!

not for me,but we will have to see i prefer lazenby and dalton, timothy dalton was the 80's wasn't he i like the tommorow never dies story of the media manipulator, here is a chance for brosnan to see how he really shapes up in the world of bond

and the guy we just watched is not a real bond movie if you ask me
