Wait. It was my first fps game this gen too... Maybe that's why we like it. Everywhere I look, people say it is an inferior game, but I never believed them. We were exposed to a mediocre game in the best genre, so we clung to it thinking it was great, even though it fails in comparison to other games in the same genre. We just didn't know better, and nostalgia from 2 years ago makes us unable to admit we like a mediocre game. :(

I despised MAG so much, I honestly hope a 2 doesn't appear and I'm not just saying that just to say it, I really REALLY mean it.

Nah the game was quite good and I played many FPS.
Inferior to Battlefield ? No doubt, but still fun.

Inferior to BAttlefield? I might agree, but then again, lag in Battlefield 3 makes that game a steaming pile of crap in my eyes. The game looks beautiful, there are tons of interesting weapons and vehicles, but the lag is unbearable.(I have the ps3 version, so I don't know if the others are like that) No other game I have is like this, not even the CoD games. Black Ops had tons of host migrations, fair enough, but Battlefield 3 has lag so bad at times that it is unplayable. Not to mention it has a terrible co op mode, campaign, and a lack of modes.(TDM is terrible because of the spawns though, worse than CoD but the other 2 are pretty good). People also claim you are supposed to use "teamwork" but from my limited experience(30 hours I think) but no one ever has mics, or ever works together although I can say the same thing about MAG. Lastly, I hate when people claim there are 6 modes. There aren't, adding squad in front of the title changes NOTHING.

MAG was such an awesome game, way too undeappreciated by most people. I suspect most people who hate on it are just envious that their favourite game can't support that much players. Hell, you can count the games who supports that many players on one hand, even if you include PC. I'm not talking about MMO's here, obviously.

Where did I specifically say Battlefield 3 ?
I have no clue how the console version runs, but PC version runs perfectly fine online.
I own Bad Company 1 for both Xbox 360 and PS3 and played both versions online, therefore I think it's a better experience than MAG.
I'm talking about the whole franchise (Since I own all Battlefield games except for Vietnam, which I have played extensively as well)
