I Still Dont get it, 2011 was perhaps the PS3's biggest year yet. As far as exclusives and features goes, Sony has ALWAYS beaten the X360 in these categories and 2011 was no exception. Uncharted 3, Killzone 3, Infamous 2, LittleBigplanet 2, Resistance 3, So Many Exclusives in 1 year and yet it still was not enough to get the american gamers attetion...
I think Sony either Needs to spend More money on marketing or rebrand the PS3 competly (atleast in america) to try to appel to american gamers. Or atleast try to make the PS3 Look/sound like a better deal then the 360. I mean for $249.99, The PS3 is easily the bigger bang for your buck as far as quality is concerned. Not trying to bash the 360 or anything, It just amazies me how the 360 is still outselling the PS3 by more than double the amount in america when the 250gb model is still $299.99...
What do yall think Sony Could do to aleast try to compete with the X360 this year in America??

Just because you have exclusives doesnt mean they are worth peoples attention. For 2011 PS3 had Uncharted 3. Every, and I mean every other 2011 exclusive was a "meh" to the masses, regardless of critical acclaim. Sony never got a mascot that rivals Master Chief or Mario in sales. Sales equals relevance, pop culture status, brand recognition.
Kinect is now a game changer. Voice commanding your media is seen as trendy and convenient. Casuals and core gamers use Kinect when hosting parties. 360 is a core gamers console (since most 3rd party games sell better) and now its seen as the peoples console.
Sony, like everyone says, still primarily appeals to the core. You cant win if your seen as a "sausage fest" console, not a mass market one, regardless of pricing or exclusives.
And you have no claim that PS3 has more bang for the buck on quality. Quality is subjective. For me, 360 is beter in quality because I prefer the best online, my friends all game on it, I like getting multiplats and DLC before PS3, and their exclusives, while fewer in number, interest me as a gamer far more then the dime a dozen PS3 exclusives.
