So I bought a $50 PSN card with some of my Christmas money and decided to get a 3 month PS+ Subscription. And now I'm hooked. With it I bought a much discounted Assassin's Creed 2 with all DLC included (and am now hooked on AC, I'm gonna buy the rest as they get discounted) and also a discounted Homefront with all DLC included (even though I was dissapointed with the short campaign, it wasn't an AWFUL game, just very generic). And I'm lovin the auto patch downloads, I didn't have to wait for that big GT5 patch to DL, it did it automatically. Yet I think its pretty awesome and affordable, but people still complain?

Currently mine doesn't expire till about April but I'm already planning to get another year extension because this is by far the best value for money experience I've had on any console.

The discounts are epic and the free games (usually PS1 games that I haven't played for YEARS) are great. I'm loving the bundles, all games that I had wanted to play in the past but never had the money or desire to buy at full price. With PS+ I can get the game and DLC for cheaper than I would have paid for only the game.

It's all good, but does Sony really profit from PS Plus.

Yeah it does seem like a great value. I just wish MS would give more discounts to their Gold users like Sony does to PSN +users.

I certainly don't buy a produt so a company can profit off it, I buy it if the price justifies what you get, and PS+ does. If Sony is losing money on it, that's their fault, but I'm gonna assume they don't since at a press conferance a while ago (after the PSN Hack) they said the PSN was close to turning a profit for the first time ever. Most of the free games are published by Sony so they aren't losing anything.

And yeah, my $17.99 3-month sub paid itself off in the first hour I had it between AC2, Homefront, and SPYRO!!!!!

The best part of it all is if a new game comes up on PSN, I know if I wait long enough, I'll get them for free on PSN.

It's a steal in my opinion an absolute steal.

Do you get to keep the psx games after your trial ends?

i think it is the best value for any subscription service there is on console. its not mandatory, and it gives you incredible discounts.

If they are free downloads, you can't play them when PS+ Sub ends.

If they are discounted and you pay any amount for it, they are yours to keep forever even if you PS+ sub ends
