I hope Sony and MS resist anyway until 2013 before launching, if they don't do it too early, next gen console really could be the low-cost, but powerful and user-friendly PCs this gen consoles couldn't be. 2012 is too early, both Sony and MS need a device like Kinect or a beefed up PSEye (with a beefed up dildo for the ladies! ) to be already low-cost when they launch their next gen consoles, as they could both feel compelled to make them standard equipment.

Edit: So I won't adjust my prediction: moral support!

You will be, Nov/Dec aka the holidays were up for the HD consoles, 360 didn't even have a price cut. It's just people buying more earlier. Expect bigger Nov NPD's than Dec's until next gen.

Certainly no need for panicking or suggesting 10m ..

2011: on track on selling 15 million

With another 50 dollar/euros pricecut this year PS3 has more then a chance to sell 15 million again or more this year. I think 2012 will be the peak year of the PS3.
