I hope Sony and MS resist anyway until 2013 before launching, if they don't do it too early, next gen console really could be the low-cost, but powerful and user-friendly PCs this gen consoles couldn't be. 2012 is too early, both Sony and MS need a device like Kinect or a beefed up PSEye (with a beefed up dildo for the ladies! 
) to be already low-cost when they launch their next gen consoles, as they could both feel compelled to make them standard equipment.
Edit: So I won't adjust my prediction: moral support!
