Forums - Movies & TV - What Is The Greatest James Bond Film?

Moonraker is great because it embraces the absurdity. There is nothing serious about it.
A great bond movie; maybe not.
A great secret agent movie? Very much so.
It was like austin powers back before comedy existed.

You can't give all the credit to brosnan. Sean Bean had a lot to do with that movie being awesome.

Quantum of Solace is surely the worst Bond movie? I see World is not Enough and Die Another Die mentioned but I'm sure everyone remembers those, QoS is a bland forgetable movie...can anyone even name a scene? I've watched it twice, I remember a desert, a plane...not much else. Perhaps that why it isn't mentioned, people forgot it existed entirely. Casino Royale asn't much better, remember much about it that wasn't the card scene?

Well personally speaking, I didn't mention it because I don't agree with you; I don't think it is a great Bond movie, but I would certainly watch it before I watched a few of the others. I think your memory issue is probably just you.

Talking about what Bond film is the worst is a little off topic anyway.

Personally, I actually do like all of the movies at least to some extent; even the one I consider the least of them.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I can't forget the Bond movie, The Spy Who Loved Me.

Why?

Theme Song:

"Nobody Does It Better".

Other than that; Goldfinger, From Russia with Love, and Goldeneye I enjoyed.

There were many Bond parodies in the 60's that rivaled Austin Powers.

Have you ever watched the Derek Flint or Matt Helm series?

Are you talking about My Man Flint or whatever? James Coburn or Richard Harris.

Our Man Flint and In Like Flint starred James Coburn.

The Matt Helm Movies starred Dean Martin.

Are there?! My bond history is poor I admit. But yes the DC one, the sea emerging scene helps ... *cough*

Yeah, there was a T.V movie and a comedy that featured David Niven.  Not official Bond movies, but still...

The sea submerging scene was my favorite.  I didn't like that bitch Vesper.
