Wow. Nice. I knew PS3 numbers were too low for Black Friday.

Every time Global is UP. Game especific sales page too... just updated after Global software UP. |
Ah, I see. It used to be that every time any data was up the number on the front page was updated.
In that case yeah, the gap will end up at around 800,000 this week.

Things aren't very consistant since the "update" that was supposed to help things. everything is being adjusted up, then down, then up again... this site is very useful, but I can see why it's not taken seriously by the rest of the gaming community for its reviews or stats. It is unreliable. I know they don't have the best means to get all the information they need to, and it sure would be nice if the companies released sales figures, but they don't. Maybe in 5 years there will be accurate ways of tracking sales like the movie industry has. For movies, we have all the theaters on file, and know the ticket prices of each place, and can get the total number of tickets sold, or the total $ amount that they made. For video games, we don't have all of the stores on file, we don't know the prices of the games that were charged to the customer, and so we can't be accurate about the number of games sold, or how much money they made. The only way for sure is for Microsoft, Sony, or whatever 3rd party made the game to release their numbers and for us to read them. This website hopefully is a pioneer in making video game numbers as important as hollywood numbers. But it will take a while. Keep in mind that Hollywood and their numbers have been taken seriously for decades. Video game numbers are only just starting to be considered serious (since it makes more $ than hollywood).

Videogame's company tracked their sales too... just not show to public... PD for example update their sales site of all GT games every year (I guess they the only to show sales to public without PR news).

Yeap... but I can't see 360 taking advantage of the 800k in two weeks. Remeber the last week of the year PS3 sold more than 360 in the lastest years. PS3 will be the #1 consoles this year (THE FIRST TIME IN THIS GENERATION). |
You mean overall including above Wii? Because I'm sure 2009/2010 has PS3 ahead of 360.
Fantastic 3DS sales. Mario Kart and the pricecut really saved the 3DS.
3DS Friend Code: 4596-9822-6909

I noticed that both the PS3 and 360 got a 28% boost in Americas and a similar boost in UK. If 360 can hold similar gain figures to PS3 in the rest of the world, then this week it will sell 100-130k better then PS3. Not enough to eliminate the gap, but a 500k difference is looking very plausible.
Amazing numbers for Mario Kart 7 opening. Looks like if 3DS does well, it could break 20 million like Mario Kart DS did.

Pricecut saved it. SM3D took it to decent levels. MK7 SKyrocketed it!
