Things aren't very consistant since the "update" that was supposed to help things. everything is being adjusted up, then down, then up again... this site is very useful, but I can see why it's not taken seriously by the rest of the gaming community for its reviews or stats. It is unreliable. I know they don't have the best means to get all the information they need to, and it sure would be nice if the companies released sales figures, but they don't. Maybe in 5 years there will be accurate ways of tracking sales like the movie industry has. For movies, we have all the theaters on file, and know the ticket prices of each place, and can get the total number of tickets sold, or the total $ amount that they made. For video games, we don't have all of the stores on file, we don't know the prices of the games that were charged to the customer, and so we can't be accurate about the number of games sold, or how much money they made. The only way for sure is for Microsoft, Sony, or whatever 3rd party made the game to release their numbers and for us to read them. This website hopefully is a pioneer in making video game numbers as important as hollywood numbers. But it will take a while. Keep in mind that Hollywood and their numbers have been taken seriously for decades. Video game numbers are only just starting to be considered serious (since it makes more $ than hollywood).
BOOM! FACE KICK!
