Well, in 2005 they shipped 1.5 mln.

In 2006 that number was 10.4 mln. or 8.9 mln. alone for 2006.
Now, in 2007 that number was 17.7 mln. or 7.3 mln. alone for 2007.

Usually, numbers for succesful console are only increasing.

As far as i remeber, they sold 8 mln. by the end of 2006 with having 2.4 mln. for retailers. But now they also having 1.7 mln. for retailers or just 0.7 mln. less then 1 year ago, while the difference between 8.9 mln. and 7.3 mln. is 1.6 mln.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Not the end ,but it seems clear the 360 wont hit ever the mass market as the PS brand or the Wii now .It will keep doing some 7 million each year until the end and finish with a 35-40 something userbase (if all goes well and doesnt collapse ) akin of what the N64 had and somewhat better of the original Xbox numbers .

It seems to me that this very subject was brought up by the very same poster several weeks ago - before he was banned.

The consensus then was that Microsoft's channel stuffing skewed these numbers. Nothing more was established beyond the OP calling other posters stupid.

Must we go through this again??? Microsoft is not done, it is not the end, they will have a strong 2008. So will Sony and Nintendo.

Yadda Yadda Yadda.

It's well known that MS stuffed the retail channel in late 2006 and shipped virtually nothing for the first half of 2007, which is why it was so hard to find any of the newer 360s with the quiet DVD drives until June or so last year.

Yeah, stuffed 0.7 mln. more, then in 2007.
BUT the difference is 1.6 mln. or in any case by almost 1 mln. less then in 2006.
