Forums - Nintendo - Will the next Zelda use motion control or the Wii U controller?

No.

Once again, not practical. Especially when you have the nunchuk there to use as a shield.

Strapping the tablet on your arm is not a  great or even good way to play games. You are talking crazy talk.

There won't be Wii-U games where one person has all three of those controllers in their hands while playing.

Nintendo doesn't make games with shitty uncomfortable  controls.

I have to agree with you on this one. Having the controller strapped on your arm sounds clunky as hell.

A couple of things. Nintendo is NOT going to pack in a Wiimote or a CC with the Wii U. Two, Zelda will definitely use the Wii U controller. If it didn't that would defeat the purpose of owning a Wii U controller or Zelda even coming out on the Wii U in the first place if it wasn't going to use the Wii U controller.

no, there's a reason they made the Wii U compatible with all the Wii's accessories.

backwards compatibility? honestly the whole Wii U Pad + Wiimote combination is both a blessing and a curse.

I say WiiU controller only. Many users have reported problems with Wii Motion Plus and Zelda SS (myself included), and judging from sales (I don't see Zelda SS going beyond 3M), I don't think they will be returning to motion control with the next Zelda. Besides, the more controllers they use, the more complicate the game controls will be. So to keep things easy and unique, I think they will stick to the tabled only with the next one.
In fact I would prefer if they come with a brand new remote with the WiiU. Wii Motion Plus simply doesn't work well enough, requires constant recalibrations, and it uses batteries for god sake...

I for one have never had to recalibrate. You may very well be doing something wrong

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

lol I played 52 hours and never had to recalibrate the controller! Either you haven’t played the game and just read some idiot talk about how he couldn’t play the game or you use your WiiMote for things it’s not meant to be used as making it go crazy. Someone said he changed his controller and it worked perfectly after that.

I certainly do not want to go back too buttons when it comes to Zelda.

Can't Nintendo just ignore the Wi Pad and make the only for the Wii Remote like Skyward Sword?

Games are suppose to provide a immersible experience and when it comes to the Zelda franchise the Wii U controller can't be more immersible that the Wii Remote.

You can think that, but the tablet can still be placed vertically. Your entitled to your opinion but my crazy mind likes this idea of mixing the motion controls with the gyro/visor of the tablet.
