Forums - Sales - Skyrim PS3, Xbox 360 just £22.49 at Gamestation, also Halo Reach Digital Download only $12.99

MCVUK

Retailer Gamestation has this morning begun advertising an incredible discount on Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The chain will slash the price of the popular RPG to just £22.49 on Xbox 360 and PS3. The PC version will be cut to £19.99.

It’s unusual for such an aggressive discount to be applied to a game that is still selling incredibly well and was released so recently. Skyrim was released nearly a month ago on November 11th and still resides in the Top Five of the UK charts.

Plenty of other games have seen their prices slashed rapidly by retail this year, including the likes of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Driver: San Francisco, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Uncharted 3 and Sonic Generations.

However, these titles had fallen seen a significant drop in sales following their week-ones – a problem that has been examined specifically by MCV.

UPDATE: MCV can confirm that while the deal was originally intended to go live later in the week, store managers are being instructed to begin honouring it immediately.

The Halo Reach deal is a bit like Child Of Eden where you redeem and download it through XBox Live.

Dammit! I just bought the collectors edition for £90, still 1/3 off, but this deal is so much better!, Though I suppose then I wouldn't have a dragon staring at me

Think I'll take this up, doubt I'll see a deal much better again anytime soon!

2 copies bought, PS3, one for me one for my housemate.

Hmm, pie.

In the UK, if you pay full price for anything, you are an idiot (or rich and lazy), it is that simple. It is rare that you won't find new games for half price within a month

except for call of duty, but then again you are an idiot for buying call of duty at all. Just kidding, wouldn't want to call every single one of my friends an idiot now would I.

Actually even CoD was avaliable on the cheap if you either got it in supermarkets with large amounts of other stuff, or in amazon's lightning deals, but in general CoD does hold its price much better than most

Of course, I am the idiot who buys these games as soon as they come out (though I do get over 20% off on all of them for buying online)
