I think that Uncharted Golden Abyss will sell very well in Japan.
Bye
No big launch games, no big preorders for said launch games.
The only problem comes from the launch lineup having no "must have" Japanese games.

Well, remember how the Vita memory were sold out on pre-order? They only got enough cash for the memory. The system will have to wait.
actually even the preorder limits for the system were sold out as well, real fast
I saw the japanese preview comparison as well but don't have much time to reply in both places in detail so I will keep it simple here (studying for a final tomorrow :(
reason is simple, at launch, it doesn't have any must have japan centric games ..just like carl pointed out. I'm not surprised source didn't explain that bit. and for Uncharted, this is the first portable UC game ever...and I fully expect just like the console game PSV UC games will also just continue growing in popularity. My ONLY hope is that Gravity Daze does well in Japan. the game looks absolutely mind blowing. It's a new IP so fingers crossed for a good opening and good legs.

Btw the 5 games are:

One factor might be that the 3DS had only like 8 launch games against 26 for the PSVita.

yep exactly..pretty much all those games have a good following in Japan..I expect good sales for Sf vs Tekken Vita for example, when it launches
and another point would be digital sales for Vita games...Vita with it's PSN integration will give more consideration for digital content than the 3ds. and also Vita is launching with some good 'free' games as well. Namely a new Badman and a AR based tank game

Vita was never really anticipated to have a good launch lineup. The low preorder numbers were to be expected. When the 3DS came out, it didn't have any software sales to brag about either. The true test for the PSV is November and December 2012.
i care as much for the Vita as for the PSPnoGo Zilch.
No UMD, overpriced pheripherals, 10 bucks to migrate psp games , does Sony ever learn?
