Continuing on the sports theme, I can think of a no greater demonstration of perserverance and commitment than the famous "Flu Game":

Michael Jordan came out to Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz, scored 38 points, and did it all while suffering from the flu! Truly the greatest athlete of the 20th century.

Two very different moments. One brought this country to its knees in a moment of overwhelming Joy and Unity. And the other was when Obama told us Bin Laden was dead.

One of my absolute favourite scenes is the one with the Dutch boy in Band of Brothers. A truly heartwarming moment.
