So we do know that the US killed 26 Pakistani soldiers at two mapped out border out posts. Reports differ on what happened some say the US forces came under fire called in air support others differ. What we do know is that the US hit the out posts multiple times and should have known that they were Pakistani at least that is what Pakistan claims.
Now Pakistan has frozen Nato support leaving Nato short of supplies and also is boycotting a big international summit on Afghanistan. The US has pretty much apologized for the situation but hasn't done much about it, obviously the US cannot afford for the Pakistani Government to turn on them further then they already have. Pakistan too cannot afford for the US Government to turn on them financially or militarily.
Both countries need each other and they need to find a way to make this incident disappear. The US has been really pushing hard and Pakistan has been pushed to its limits. But lets face it Pakistan needs the US as much as the US needs Pakistan. In the end something needs to be done to repair the relationship and fast, so what should and can be done to save face and sweep this under the rug?
